From 19th July 2021
In light of the continuing circulation and rising numbers of positive cases of COVID-19, despite the easing of legal restrictions from 19th July we will still request that patients wear face coverings when attending appointments at either practice. Please click here to see guidance from NHS England supporting this.
We need to continue to protect vulnerable patients and our staff – we need to remain well so we can continue to help you to remain well.
Our staff will continue to wear PPE when seeing patients and dealing with patients face-to-face.
We will continue to operate via windows for enquiries; only patients with booked appointments will be allowed access to the waiting areas in order to keep numbers down and allow for social distancing.
Please attend appointments alone where possible to help us to achieve this.
If you do come in for an appointment, please use hand sanitiser upon entry to either practice and keep your distance from other patients in the waiting area.
We will continue to see patients face-to-face as clinically indicated as we have done throughout; we will still be operating a telephone service where appropriate.
Please bear in mind that people in the surgeries are often unwell, and often vulnerable. Some are not able to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
If you need us – please don’t call us first thing unless your enquiry is urgent and must be dealt with that day. Please call us later in the day for routine, non-urgent matters. This will enable those patients that are really unwell or in pain to get through to us easier. Routine telephone appointments are available to book online via the NHS app or SystmOnline – we release appointments regularly for this purpose so if there are none available at present, please check in a few days’ time.
Please treat our staff with respect – they are here to help you and will do their very best to do so.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us to continue minimising the risk to both patients and staff.
