Measles

Posted on April 11th, 2019

There have been recent cases of measles in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire – please be aware of the condition, and ensure you call ahead if you suspect you or someone you care for may have measles before coming to the surgery.  Measles is highly contagious – and can have very serious effects on vulnerable people, such as those with immune system complications or those that are pregnant, elderly or very young.  If you think your child may not have had a full dose of the MMR vaccination – two vaccinations – one at one year old and one at age 3-4 (pre-school), please contact us.
