We have commenced inviting patients aged over 65 to book their Flu vaccination for clinics on Saturday 8th and Saturday 22nd October 2022. If you have not already received a message please do not worry – we are working through patients. If you do not have a mobile phone, please call us to book.
We will also be inviting those aged under 65 and at risk (in one of the clinical at risk groups) to book for 22nd October in due course – please wait for your text message.
We are sending text messages with a link to book your slot directly. You need to enter your date of birth, select the dates above under ‘Period’ and then click ‘Show’. If you have any problems booking via the link you can call us, but please call later in the day our phone lines are very busy first thing.
We hope to be receiving our Flu vaccinations around the week of the first clinic, but this is always subject to delivery and sometimes we have to reschedule – if you do not hear from us, the clinic is going ahead as planned!
Midweek clinics will be scheduled at both sites once the Saturday clinics have completed.
We will also be vaccinating children aged 2 and 3 – parents will receive letters from Child Health in due course.
Those aged 50-64 and not in an at risk group will be invited later in the season for a Flu Vaccination, we have limited supplies and must prioritise those at the most risk of complications from Influenza. From mid-October, if you are in this aged category you will be able to visit your local pharmacy for a free Flu vaccination.
COVID-19 Boosters have begun in our Primary Care Network, we are running clinics at Roebuck Surgery Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings. You will also receive a link to book directly, the team are inviting patients in age order and are currently inviting those over 70. You can also book with us by phone, but please call us later in the day to do so. Please note, you must have at least 3 months between your last vaccination and your booster.
